30.3.2022. / 20h // Dom omladine Beograda

Participants: Srđan Gojković Gile, Električni orgazam; Slobodan Simojlović, director; Biljana Maksić, screenwriter; Zorica Kojić,  journalist and screenplay collaborator, Dragan Ambrozić, project manager.

The documentary And Now You Can See It Is Possible, produced by the Music Division of Television Belgrade, is dedicated to the great jubilee – the fortieth anniversary of the band  Elekrtični orgazam. The film follows the band’s attempts to organize a gig on that occasion but fails due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Besides former and current band members, many other people also talk about forming the band its development in a turbulent era, covering the period from the late seventies until today. We’ll see Dubravka Marković, Momčilo Rajin, Aleksandar Žikić, Petar Janjatović, Dragan Kremer, Dušan Vesić, Dragan Ambrozić, Vladimir Arsenijević, Siniša Škarica, Ivan Stančić Piko, Brajan Rašić, Goranka Matić, Petar Ilić Ćirilo, Branko Rosić, Aleksandar Šandorov, Boris Vlastelica, Bojan Slačala, and many others.

Električni orgazam is one of the most influential and long-lived rock’n’roll bands formed in Yugoslavia and Serbia. Appearing at the time of the new wave, they played a critical role in creating an authentic local urban rock sound with a specific poetic critical social edge. They turned to more glam aesthetics during the eighties, making big hits, many still popular today, and Igra rokenrol cela Jugoslavija became a classic. In the times of disintegration of the former country, they stand out with anti-war activism (project Rimtutituki). After 2000, ageing with more than grace, Električni orgazam continues to develop, passing on to the young generations their unique insight about rock and roll as their life experience. The history of this band is, in effect, the history of rock culture in our region.

The film uses rare documentary footage and music tracks mostly recorded and preserved in the RTS Program Archive.
